Need to Know Information If You Are Taking Hep B Medicine

December 11, 2019

Hepatitis B treatment medication is often expensive and pricing for it can change year to year and sometimes within the same year depending on what health insurance plan you have. CHECK YOUR PLAN to ensure your hepatitis B medication is covered at a lower tier (better pricing).

Also of concern is what is known as Co-Pay Accumulators, a rule in many health insurance plans that discounts any medication assistance programs from your deductible. This can dramatically increase your cost of medication and is not always easy to find in the small print of your health plan.

Read or listen to  these two presentations  to find out more about each issue and find resources for help.
