B型肝炎是經由B肝病毒(HBV)傳染，B型肝炎病患可增加罹患肝硬化，肝衰竭以及肝癌的機率。全球有80%的肝癌患者得病都是因為本身罹患B型肝炎的緣故。

旧金山湾区消弭乙肝团队的講師團主要任务就是向当地社区团体和组织提供免费有关乙型肝炎的教育講座或討論會。演讲可以以英语、粤语、普通话、韩语和越南语进行。

Health Volunteering
The SF Hep B Free Health Volunteering Program offers both high school and undergraduate students a chance to volunteer in a Non-Profit environment. Health Volunteering consists of patient and community interaction. Volunteers from all backgrounds are welcome. Volunteers with Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish experience preferred.
